Local Philanthropy & Service

In addition to raising money and awareness for arthritis and related diseases, our sisters recognize the importance of giving back in many other ways.

Our local philanthropy just recently changed names from Indian Trails Camp to IKUS.  ITC itself has been expanding into a comprehensive provider of life enrichment services for individuals of all abilities and is more than just a summer camp. The camp is still around however!  Indian Trails Camp provides opportunities for individuals with various special needs and disabilities to have a camp experience. Every year our chapter puts on a Spaghetti Dinner to raise money for our local philanthropy, our chapter raised over $2,000 in ticket sales and served nearly 400 people at our Spaghetti Dinner last winter! This money will provide day camp opportunities and scholarships for campers. It also will fund sports equipment and arts and craft supplies. With Lambda Eta's support, Indian Trails Camp is able to provide an incredible experience of fun, laughter, and independence for individuals with disabilities who otherwise would not have such an amazing opportunity.
