At AOII, our mission is to promote lifelong friendship, inspire academic excellence, to lead by example, and to serve our campus and surrounding communities. The values on which AOII was founded help lead us in the decisions we make and the behaviors we exhibit in our daily lives. The object of our Fraternity, written by our Founders in 1897, inspires us to stand at all times for character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. These values enable us to go with character and confidence into the world around us, assured in knowing that AOII is ours, offering friendships and opportunities throughout our lifetime.
We thank you for your interest in our chapter, and we invite you to explore our website to learn more about our sisterhood.
Message from the President
Greetings! It has been such an honor to serve as the Chapter President of Alpha Omicron Pi at Grand Valley State University! This organization has brought me so much light within my life. Joining a group of women who are beautifully unique has given me the opportunity to create bonds and friendships that otherwise may have never occurred. These women have seen me on my best and worst days, and continue to encourage and believe in me every step of the way. Whether they are providing me necessary taco bell while cramming for an exam or picking out my outfit when I “have nothing to wear” for an interview, I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side every step of my college career and life after that. Along with caring sisters AOII has provided me with leadership skills, volunteering opportunities and other numerous campus organizations to become involved with. Alpha Omicron Pi is not an organization that takes without giving back. I believe every sister can agree with me that AOII has given her more then they ever expected, and these four years have changed our lives for the better.
